Dr. Dominguez's Blog

Professor Robert Hecht-Nielsen directs the new Confabulation Neuroscience Laboratory in the UCSD Division of Calit2. He recently began a series of colloquium and plenary talks on confabulation theory, aiming to put forward what he calls "a concrete, detailed, mathematically principled, neuroscience theory that provides falsifiable, compelling answers to questions such as: 'How does thinking work?', 'What is knowledge and how do we acquire it?', and 'What causes behavior?'" This talk is a unique chance for the Calit2, UCSD and La Jolla communities to become familiar with this new way of thinking about 'the mechanism of thought'. The talk will also be webcast live on the Internet and archived for later on-demand viewing (details below).

Date: Monday, March 6, 2006
