Micro_Gestures at the Edge of Invisibility will be an On/Off line space for MFA artists in the Visual Arts Department at UCSD to explore and present works at the edge of invisibility, at the edge of the digital and biological, at the edge of micro-robotics and nano-art, from in-virtu to in-vivo works and back.

Hello,

My name is Micha Cardenas and I'm the newest member of the b.a.n.g. lab. My work and play examines, utilizes and explores DIY technology, DIY crafts, net.art, video, autonomy, gender, identity, contemporary (post/trans/neoliberal) politics, nomadology, autonomous spaces, borders and migration in the US, Mexico and Southern Europe. I am collaborating closely with Ricardo Dominguez on a number of projects and have worked with Adriene Jenik and continue to work with her on various projects.

I am interested in transdisciplinary art practice that is collaborative, performative, networked and anonymous. I have participated in the borderlands Hacklab and PG Toys. I am also currently working on video projects including a Deleuzian investigation of autonomous spaces in southern europe entitled Okupa! in collaboration with The Platform and an investigation into community, repression and international solidarity in Oaxaca.

Me llamo Micha Cárdenas y soy el miembro mas reciente del laboratorio b.a.n.g. My trabajo y juego examina, utiliza y explorar technología autónoma, artes autónomo, net.art, video, la autonomía, género, identidad, las politica (trans/post/neoliberal) contemporanea, nomadología, espacios autónomos, fronteras y migración en el EU, Mexico y Europa Sur. Soy interesado en unas prácticas de arte que son transdisciplinarias, colaborativas, performativas, de red y anónimas. He participado en el Hacklab de Las Zonas Fronterizas y PG Toys. Soy trabajando en proyectos de video que incluyen una investigación Deleuziano de espacios autónomos que se llama Okupa! en colaboración con La Plataforma y una investigación de comunidad, represion, y solidaridad internaciónal en Oaxaca.
