*Bits.Atoms.Neurons.Genes* Micro_Gestures at the Edge of Invisibility will be an On/Off line space for MFA artists in the Visual Arts Department at UCSD to explore and present works at the edge of invisibility, at the edge of the digital and biological, at the edge of micro-robotics and nano-art, from in-virtu to in-vivo works and back.

Assemblymember Jared Huffman (6th AD) has introduced AB 541. The bill would establish California's only state laws related to genetic engineering (GE) in agriculture and protect California farmers, consumers, and the food supply. AB 541 already has the support of many agricultural, environmental, health, faith and business organizations.

AB 541 establishes California's only state laws related to genetic engineering (GE) in agriculture. It protects California farmers and the food supply in four ways: (1) Establishes the right of farmers and landowners to compensation for economic losses due to genetic contamination of their crops; (2) Protects farmers from liability if they unknowingly grow contaminated crops; (3) Establishes a GE crop notification process so that farmers can trace contamination to the GE manufacturer; (4) Protects the food supply by prohibiting the open-field cultivation of drug producing food crops.

Rosi Braidotti is professor of women's studies in the Arts Faculty of Utrecht University and scientific director of the Netherlands Research School of Women's Studies and of the Expertise Centre Gender and Multiculturalism (GEM). She founded the inter-European university exchange programme, NOISE, linking 10 universities in different European countries, which offers a yearly European Summer School. She has published extensively in feminist philosophy, epistemology, poststructuralism and psychoanalysis. Her books include Patterns of Dissonance and Nomadic Subjects.
